second disc is disappointing in it's dynamics. perhaps it's the recording. disc one is better. it may well be that this is an example of how digital stuff doesn't translate so well to vinyl... will update this if I change my mind. But this is my initial synopsis.

What a wonderful work out for your music system! One of the most percussive sounding of all the sigur ros lps and the most metallic too! It has a wingspan that is wide and voluptuous! If you thought this band had already emptied their treasure chest of wonders think again. Three years on I am still surprised how utterly fresh and innovative these songs are from a band that had offered up pearls many times before. How lucky we are that music people give their time to sharing such great moments of sound. Thank you Iceland :)

i was lucky enough to get one copy via presale. i was kind of nervous to open it. here is the result: the very good point: only here you get all the instrumental tracks of the album. point. the artwork by itself is just great. point. The sound quality is about the best, Sigur Ros ever offered to the fans. point. BUT: it is frustrating, why the cover are THAT thin. no point here.

I've seen two different copies and both came with the sleeves in different order to the records but it's bcause they have their own running order. They are a continuous image and that's the order they're meant to be. You can have a look at the thumbnails on the kveikur web page to check the order.
