i now have 2 copies of this great boot of genration x bbc recordings from 1978, the copy i have this time is a red and green wax set, as with all the pressings of this boot in different colors this is real good stuff as its bbc soundboard, great very well done sleeve to, good sound for a vinyl boot.....

this review is for the 2 lp generation x bbc sessions 1978 that has one lp on green wax and the other on black, i just picked this up today, this is a 2 lp boot out of italy and features some awesome live stuff by this now 35 year old de funct uk punk band that featured billy idol, anyway the best part for me about this lp set is there is a medley on side 4 that features 2 of the most awesome covers punk style one being the whos my generation and the other being the pirates shakin all over wow if only i could have seen this live way back in 78, also this 2 lp set features a lot of the great songs that where on the first generation x lp in 1977 as that was the best thing they ever did, valley of the dolls in 78 was ok but if you are just getting into gen x GET THE FIRST LP then if you like i would go as far as saying GET THIS 2 LP BOOT then get valley of the dolls if you want in that order, why these recordings ( to my knowledge) have never been out before is beyond me, i have so many bbc official released stuff over the past 30 years how this has not offcially been released??? i have no clue but for me being a punk fan for over 36 years now I HAVE NEVER SEEN THESE RECORDINGS BEFORE if i am wrong you are more then welcome to correct me, anyway if you are a big fan of the 1977 uk punk explosion THEN THIS BELONGS IN YOUR COLLECTION!!!!!!!!!! PERIOD. there is also a red and blue wax version of this boot BUT from what i was told THIS ONE SOUNDS A BIT BETTER but i have not heard the other pressing but was told this by a very credible dealer(i have known for 31 years) who sold me this one today at a record fair
