Metamorphosis represents something of a new direction for Noise's most eminent artist. Where Twelve Limbs of Dependent Origination consisted mostly of unvarying textures and was more purely ambient, the tracks of Metamorphosis exhibit development and exposition. Great walls of richly textured sound progress in phrases and movements. "Oracle" and "Flesh and Blood" sound like movements of a single piece and are clearly related and "Cosmogeny" comprises something of a Scherzo. "Pulverizer," the final track from cassette, is more in the vein of its predecessors, a single rich texture throughout. This release is only available from the composer and in response to confirmation before release.
