It's all a rather sad end with the plight of this release. I bought it off ROL website upon its release. Still kicking myself for not ordering the Wild is the Wind cd single at the same time. The MacKenzie and Associates archive did seem to have much official releases in recent years- I wish some of the live footage will get a proper release one day on dvd or BD.

I picked up my copy of this CD on the day of release in Avalanche Records in Edinburgh. Perhaps it didn't have any distribution around the rest of the country but it was sold in Avalanche in Edinburgh on its release. It was sold in shops upon its release not just from ROL's website.distributors. Steve Aungle is clear that the reason for the CD being deleted was not from Billy's family but sour grapes from ROL's Paul Haig. Pity. I think this is my favourite MacKenzie album. Steve Aungle's contribution is immense, the playing and arrangements are stunning. It is a real pity this CD was pulled so quickly and has had so little attention. It really deserved more. It represents Billy's most coherent work since "Sulk". I can understand why the MacKenzie Family wanted to garner some control over Billy's legacy but this represents a career high. I hope this CD will see the light of day again in the form which Steve Aungle finished it.
