Antonio Testa's first apparance on a now-defunct the Russian label Tantric Harmonies is very much in vein of his previous productions as it brings to the table a quality doze of what can perhaps be described as ethnic, tribal ambient."Radioforest" not only is filled with sounds of native instruments (drum rolls, ocarinas, rattles), ritualistic chants and spoken words, snippets of field recordings from various indigenous locations from Africa or Mexico but also has some gorgeous ambient textures floating about. Yet it's through the virtue of craft and innate awareness of Antonio that he's able to achieve an otherwise difficult to obtain balance between the aforementioned natural sounds and digitaly crafted ones, as they seamlessly blend and complete eachother.Well thought-out, meticously constructed and well produced piece of highly organic and ehtnic ambient, that with right pair of ears might just possibly tap into that elusive primal sense of being.
