Phobism
I used to have respect for Anjunabeats and Above & Beyond. I was one of the first people to play "Volume 1" by Anjunabeats on the radio in the USA in 2000 and I had mad respect for them when they were a small independent label that nobody had ever heard of. But these days? They sound so watered down, they used to make actual Trance at first, then they went heavy with female vocal lead tracks in the mid 2000's, but now they are making really annoying EDM Electro House sounding stuff that sounds like every other artist out there. The type of "Trance" they make sounds more like Electro House or the typical "EDM" sound. Why ruin a classic Faithless track like this with such horrible predictable production? This "EDM" is not moving forward, the music is stagnant, there is no progression with it. Unlike the past, today's dance music is by the numbers and boring. Damn shame really.

It's no coincidence that Deep began to rise when Jody joined. Below & Inside have a drooling fanbase unfortunately, but if it helps to pay the AnjunaDeep bills, I guess it can't be all bad.

agreed about Anjunadeep, that label seems to have actually gotten better with time unlike Anjunabeats which has fallen into mediocrity. It seems James Grant has a better understanding of good quality music compared to the simplistic EDM crap that his brother & Paavo have been producing as of late. When class artists like Tom Middleton, Jody Wisternoff, and Vincenzo are showing up on Anjunadeep, you know that the label is of a good quality.

Yes I have had the same journey with my love & respect for A&B and their Anjunabeats label. At first it was pure admiration and I was completely addicted to them and the ethos they had for the beats label; quality Trance over anything else. Now this is clearly not the case and sales are what matter to them, hence on the production side it's been a steady decline in quality and originality for both A&B and the Anjunabeats label. Unfortunately they completely abandoned their group ethos, so the pure uplifting/melodic Trance styles got cut out of the label in 2011, whereas their sister label Anjunadeep evolved but never lost it's quality. This isn't a terrible remix it's just not very special, nor will it be remembered for more than a month or two; like all A&B creations these days. Just look at my top tracks between 2005 and 2012 - all Anjunabeats, now they don't release anything worth buying in my opinion...but clearly many people have a very different view to me.Not a patch on the original - 3/5 is generous

The Ajuna and A&B i remember where the 'Good For Me', early 'Oceanlab' days, trance was different, sadly artist to sway to what sells nowadays, and ppl are buying this style.A Anjuna classic i remeber and still listen too is 'Maor Levi - Shapes (Oliver Smith Remix), thats example of Anjuna i remember.
