Scott Reagers is a singer whose voice and style fits extremely well to Saint Vitus's music. I don't know if they did it on purpose or if it happened naturally but when they had Reagers back in the band Saint Vitus copied themselves. "Die Healing" seems like an attempt to re-create their first two albums. The band is quite successful at this yet as with every copy some dissatisfaction remains. The album was recorded in Germany, a country that has always praised and been loyal to Saint Vitus who weren't so popular in their homeland. At some point they even thought of moving here if I'm not wrong (but who would leave the Californian sun?). I would say the result is a sound that is "fuller".It's not a classic but a solid if not good – and band-historically interesting – album that should be in your Vitus collection. Not as important as the first five albums though.

This one is identical to the official Germany press. Same label number, same barcode, same matrix runout. So, what is the unofficial version then?
