I bought this album because of those eyes staring me on the cover; that face sold the album. Musically; I'm on the fence. There are times where the tracks explode with Todd-Rrundgren style production but darker and more uneasy. John Cale's voice is not the best; it's kind of unremarkable. Take Todd Rundgren and mix a bit of Roger Waters and Lou Reed in there and you've got John Cale. I've listened through the LP twice and I think the opening track (fear is a mans best friend) is the strongest. Overall- if John Cale's bony face staring into your soul makes you want to buy this record- do
