Bad Sunny
Not quite as simpy and asinine as its cover would have you believe, it is nevertheless devoid of either good pop songs or originality. Going Bananas is pretty fun if you only have to hear it once, and manages to at least not be boring, unlike the rest of Side A. Side B has the distinction of being borderline offensive. Songs like Muskrat Love seem to be stolen from the African tradition, but the final track Boogie Woogie Blues or whatever has Tenille actually putting on an accent that makes her sound like shes mocking her black bellboy or something. I have no doubt the intentions were honest and genuine, to perhaps pay tribute to those great unappreciated musicians who had gone before, but did she have to do the funny voice?
