Now everybody listen up: I'd like to quote what I've seen on other reviews:"This music is not for purists"The same applies here. If you're looking for something purely for your style, this record ain't it, you have think deeper than what you hear the for the first time. I think the A-side is one of the most powerful minimal tools, but it took me tons of listenings to realize that it's not just what you hear the first time, or when you skip parts of the song.On the other hand, times move on. Judging by your comments, you're a fan of classic house, classic techno and other similar stuff. It may have been popular in it's time, but that's worn off. This is another type of music. Minimal, namely. You can't judge a song if you haven't listened to similar songs. This is not the only one of its kind. This is a whole new world, you could say. And if you don't know it, don't venture into it. You're unprepared. It would be like crossing the biggest desert in the world with two normal bottles of water. To end this: I'd like you to take into consideration what I've said. I don't mind if you close your ears, but I suggest you open the if you can.P.S. This comment is also directed at _hypnodrome_ below.P.P.S. No, I do not do drugs. I am perfectly sober, I'm just giving my opinion.

The Rollers of Vildar
9 minutes of a single loop with little or no variation, at a certain point i had the impression i was listening to a locked groove. What's the point?

The point is you're supposed to take as much ketamine as possible and flail about for 15 hours. What's not to get?

VAZGINO
Decent release. Very quantized tho. There's no give, no naturalness in the groove. Works as a house roller but wouldn't pay through the nose for it.

Gozragore
Another overhyped record, due to many new generations of inexperienced kids, who were unlucky enough to be surrounded with mediocre house and techno since day 1, but that's what you get growing up in miserable 2000's. You gotta feel sorry for them...this is not even funny anymore, the whole scene and everything...degraded beyond repair. In the 90s, records like this would end up totally unnoticed, cause there was so much better stuff, and still is, but you need to know where to look.

A dj since 1992 I can confrim that the music made today is far superior, and by heeding his own advice, the original poster needs to 'dig deeper' to find the good stuff...

Give us a starting point. Most of 90's EP's on discogs don't even have a youtube video or a soundclip. Juno is probably the only reliable resource and even they only have 1 sample out of a 4 track EP when you dig before 2000's releases..P.s.You can't judge these tracks unless you've heard them in a club. I was in Tresor the other week and I swear the tracks I already have sounded wildly different to the point where I didn't even recognise them initially.

Yeah, i'll tell you why, don't worry. Because it's already seen before thousands of times (but you missed those times) and it's just recycling the old sounds from the 90s time and time again in hope that it will be received as well as before. But mediocre stuff like this was never received well back then, something like this would end up in a trashcan right away, we actually had (best) taste, so you couldn't serve us with some mediocre shit. This is only possible in sorry ass 2000s, with not so very educated crowds, and obviously not so refined taste. Have you heard of a term "generic"? That's what this is. Generic, empty crap, with no magic, story, drive, mystery, deepness, class or anything else. If you like pointless house/techno that's not going anywhere, it's excellent.

I'm sorry, but that's your job, you're not going to get everything handed to you on a plate ;) You kids thought you're into good music and have a good taste? :) Not enough, you can be sure of that. If you want quality music, go and find it, dig deeper, don't follow the mainstream overhyped crap like this. Everything you need was already made in the 90s, be it house, techno, trance or whatever else.

I agree with most of what you say although to be honest it is all pretty generic these days; 'good' generic and bad generic seem to be the two options. There frankly has not been anything remotely innovative in house and techno for a very long time. New machines need to be invented or something, the regurgitation is beyond a joke.

I'm not intentionally being arsey by the way, i was too young party or dj in the 90s.. if you're going to say this is weak then share with the community why.

Genuinely, please give us a clue then. Where would you point someone for this slick, 90s reductionalist house of yours?
