After taking a 4 year hiatus, Fey wanted to return to the music scene as she really is and not as her manager & record label wanted her to appear to be with their ambition to boost her record sales even more after she proved many countries all around the world that she is one of the top Latin artists in Latin music history given by Mexico. In May 21st, 2002, Fey returned with a totally different image and sound with her 4th studio album, 'Vertigo.' The theme of this album is dark, brutally honest, and straight to the point, the true emotions of Fey expressing the rough experiences and the challenges she had to face throughout her life. The sweet girl who put everyone on the dancefloor with her energy-filled, Bubblegum Electro-Pop & Italo-styled Euro-House hits was left behind and replaced with the beautiful woman that is Fey. The sound of 'Vertigo' is perfectly balanced out, consisting entirely of heavy, Perspective-Electronica styled tracks & liter, Dark Ambient tracks that ultimately express Fey's passion for Electronic music nonetheless. It is Fey's best album in her career, and also her most creative and personal album to date. 'Vertigo' is the window to Fey's heart & soul since it was the 1st album in her entire career where she had the most control over the work that is supposed to represent who she is. Even with the poor promotion, or barely any promotion, provided by Sony Music International (her label at the time), the sales for 'Vertigo' were very good, selling over 1,000,000 copies before all promotion, duplication, & sales were stopped completely, the same year of it's release. Fey will return late 2008/early 2009 with a new album, fulfilled with just as much, or more, creativity as Vertigo's representation but it will not have the same style/sound.
