Pretty much perfect sound quality on this one. One of the few 80's CD compilations containing full unmixed 12" versions that was actually released *IN* the 80's. Wish more of the major labels had put out CD's this back then (Volume 1 of this series was vinyl & cassette only FYI).The only black mark here is that track 1 is missing the first 3 seconds of the song, compared to what was on the 12" - but it seems that every CD out there which has this song and mix on it has the same problem (most likely cause they all used the copy on this disc as a master considering it's from Atlantic and was the first digital release of it). The good news though is this problem can be easily corrected using an audio editing program and copy/paste to make it sound exactly like it was supposed to!
