"Den Mahlstrom Rauf" is like a 2010 development of mid-2000s 'trendy trance' goodies from Border Community or Kompakt, ie a long, glitched out, progressive house landscape, developping into a frankly OTT 'emotional' climax with panoramic pads (ah! i'm clearly a sucker for these oldschool, almost trance pads), except that nowadays this could be as well played by Sasha or even Tiestö in a 'deep' mood (musical frontiers have moved...), but also by Jamie xx in his recent Factmagazine podcast.So, in a 2011 context, clearly a 'guilty pleasure', but a pleasure nonetheless.
