Abandoned Electrical
This album sounded like a 2018 version of a Tom Tom Club album. It literally just sounded like Tine Weymouth on 80% of the album. That's not a negative thing either just clarifying

A change of pace? Sure, but what SMD album hasn't been? It's arguably a more mature sound, very ambitious, the addition of the choir producing some spectacular results (the dark "Hey Sister" and the buoyant "V Formation" being the two opposing standouts). While some may be infuriated at this more experimental side of the band, I enjoyed it immensely, even if it does stumble occasionally. After all, what SMD album hasn't? :)PS The videos are terrible and diminish the power of the songs with their pretentiousness. I'd skip them if I were you.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Sometimes it's good to just let the music speak for itself. None of that pseudo-Cirque Du Soleil crap.

Agreed! The videos make no sense especially for Defender which I just heard on BBC6 that nearly made me cry! The videos are WACK!
