Who was the brainchild behind this disaster?! Aaron Sutcliffe is E. Simonsson (Covenant) and J. Malmgren (Elegant Machinery) doing covers of Elvis tunes. Novel idea? Somewhat. Tasteful? I suppose. Good? Definitely not. I had really hoped for so much more from this pair, but unfortunately they do not deliver. These covers could have been done so much better, with more intriguing music and much better vocals. All of the four tracks are extremely simplistic and the attempt to emulate Elvis in the vocals is just plain horrible. It almost sounds as if these two got really drunk in the Covenant studio one summer evening and decided to twiddle around with the equipment and this is what they came up with. Now, back in the late 80's, Wax Trax! days it was common for Al J. and whomever as in the studio with him to churn out a few tracks in one evening, but unlike the Aaron Sutcliffe project, Al's pieces were actually enjoyable. From start to finish, this 4 track EP is just bad. Avoid!
