Aghast View got an upgrade on this release. I was expecting the usual hostile EBM they've been known for over the years, but not long into the first track, i knew this was nothing like the preceding albums. The lyrics are probably based around the same themes, but the music is much more electro-industrial than the minimalistic, sample-laden EBM from earlier years. The vocals are less monotone, too, which prevents the album from getting as boring as Nitrovisceral was for me. This album isn't as good as, say, Carcinopest, but it is much different from the usual Aghast View sound. If you're looking for more bitter EBM, check out Carcinopest first.
