Although this album says the Drifters greatests hits, these are by far not the versions we ( I ) know of these songs. It sounds as if some mediocre cover band was doing them. Hard to know with the drifters as they had a revolving door for band members but, if it is truly one of their incarnations that recorded these, it was not the best. What also makes me suspicious is thar it does not sound like a greatest hits with a "different sound" depending on the album they came from. It sounds like they were all recorded by the same guys in one sesson. If anyone has the same impression let me know.
