"In acoustics, a flatline sound is one that is constant, even, and relatively unchanging, of which, none are found in nature.

In medical applications, flatline refers to the condition of no vital signs of screen, or, clinical death.

These are not musical compositions, nor are they elaborate guessing games……name-that-dead-person sonic charades.
They are crude attempts at flatlining sounds made by, or associated with, persons no longer living.
They are meant to suggest certain human characteristics and feelings, depending on the specific actions and occurences of each person's life. Names of the persons are deliberately withheld to ascertain whether the listener can distinguish these characteristics and feeling, without knowing from whence the sounds originated."
