Great likely Privately Pressed LP by this Massachusetts Guitarist who plays in mixed styles combining Classical and Jazz. The album's first track is more of a Jazz-Fusion number with full-band Electric accompaniment, while the other songs are mostly tracked with nice layered classical acoustic guitars, with the exception of the first track on side 2, which has Rolland accompanied by Mike O'Brien on Electric Guitar - and this song also has trippy pretty female vocals. The last track, "Suite: Una Vispera Flamenca," has cool percussion and achieves great dynamics with the layering of several acoustic and electric overdubbed guitars. Great Album!Brian Rolland studied guitar at New England Conservatory, Berklee School of Music, and beyond performing on his own, he made an appearance at the 1976 Montreux Jazz Festival backing Jazz trumpeter Clark Terry. In the early 1980s he co-led a band fronted by 7-time WC Handy Award nominee, Boston blues singer Toni Lynn Washington, then released his first solo album, Guitar Bazaar, in 1982. Toni Lynn Washington also makes an appearance in one song on this album.
