Does anyone have any info or is anyone actively adding an entry for a purple and black splatter variant that I assume is a new reissue? Bought it at a local Indy store in Glasgow

**Referencing ANY vinyl pressing, not necessarily the one linked to this question** Can anyone confirm precisely which versions (vinyl only please) include the bonus "Down to the Fire" track? I want to be certain to pick one up that contains it.

Does anyone have any information on a split clear/red vinyl edition? It's Rise Above, not Metal Blade. I just got one but can't find anything about it.

I'm actually having the same problem. I really want to get my hands on the press with purple spots on it but there is hardly any info on it. Even the marketplace listings are unclear. I also looked on the rise above website with no luck.

Which is the difference between 1st. & 2nd press on vinyl? We have to do with a 2011 release, don't forget it! Please answer ONLY if anybody REALLY knows.....

No difference except for the color of the vinyl and the cover. The first pressing's cover is a single-sheet two-sided silk screened cover with the vinyl in a black dust jacket behind it. The second pressing is standard printed artwork (using the CD-R as the cover) in a normal LP jacket. The content is exactly the same. Only the die-hard edition comes with the additional 7" not found anywhere else.

This album rules. The ones who sold their clear copy before they even received it are parasites and they know it. Sadly, it's not about the music to them anymore. For me, this is a piece of rock history and an amazing record... so I'm keeping my copy, and my soul.

Your situation is not what I'm referring to, if you are trying to recoup the high price tag, that would be understandable. There are people that cannot get their hands on a vinyl copy because of "parasites" who scoop up the vinyl for resale. I'm talking about the ones that buy up vinyl, event tickets, etc. then jack up prices insanely. That's all I'm saying.Additionally, I don't care what you think.

Some people have no understanding of the concept of supply and demand. I own four copies of this album... I absolutely ADORE it and have been listening to it on a loop ever since I first heard about them last year and I even dished out 300$ to be able to get my hands on a first ed. copy to listen to it in all it's analog glory (yeah I like them THAT much). This record IS amazing and yet, when the repress came out, I knew in advance I'd try and get my hands on a copy of the clear to put up for sale as soon as the sale was confirmed. It's called an opportunity and I took it. If it's simply about the music, you'd be just as happy with a digital download of the album... so please, cut the BS about parasites and it "not being about music anymore".

Who cares if some idiot pays 800 dollars or whatever, Rise Above did a repress, and probably will press even more, and 17 pounds for the "normal" pressing seems fair, although the 30 pounds for the clear one was a bit over the top. The Rise Above haters out there, just think about what great music Lee put out there, Electric Wizard, Sleep, Witchcraft, Blood Ceremony etc. Dont think Lee have a hidden agenda to make ebay douchebags jack up the prices on the limited releases.. And all the other versions except for the clear and gold ones, are available at RA website and other distros everywhere. Please stop whining.

Yes, just like Black Sabbath. In fact there's lot of bands who inspire its music to the superoriginal riffs of Uncle Acid....However, opinions are opinions...For me high prices are more than justified in record collectionism, i've got a Death in June lpfor sale at 150 euros, the first Novy Svet works are iper high priced, but 800 euro for this lp?. these are prices that the rarest 60's original psych (or Sabbath..) records has!!! In that case is just HYPE. Other bands has got this castle built around them, very good bands, ok, but over-valutated (Wreck and Reference, Bongripper...). The question is: Who need it? Who pays 300; 200 euros for an original (or clear) copy of this lp when with 20 euros can have it? Why pay so much? Whats the real hystorical value to justify that price? We aren't talking about limited or handmade or crucial releases of significative (for it's genres or period) band (Novy Svet first tapes; Dark first edition, private press, Current 93 eiditions with booksor first tapes, Natural Snow Building first, handmade, limited to 30 copies tapes/cdrs, OHR records for krautrock.. and a loads of other examples ) Uncle Acid, if we stop to listen just the music, is a good band, but just this.If we search in bands other values over the music (teenage identification with the scene, economic speculation, hype)it is another story. I love psychedelic music and i dare everyone out there to say that this record, judging its musical value, is more than just a good record. Changing life records are others , i think. But opinions are opinions...

A unknow garage band, as great as it can be, become ridiculized by the stupidity of the hype around. 800 Euros for a copy? Ok there's the 7"...300 Euros? 200? 100? 50? How many shit around..

Labels like rise above and relapse are in the business of making money. Yes, they will press some limited coloured vinyl to please the fans, but they will always repress them if the market demands it. Just look at the Electric wizard - dopethrone. It used to be a hard to find collectors item, and now everyone has one. Great. The band, and label makes some cash and the fans get their vinyl. Everybody is happy except for the guys who paid 200 euros two weeks before re-release. And now this Uncle acid hype seems to settle down, i plan to buy myself a copy for 16 euros. It's a good record, but if you have some patience you won't have to break your piggy bank just to get your hands on a copy.
