Finally, a Honey Bane overview on CD. A couple of pointers; 1. A "complete anthology of singles" it is not. It's missing the A-side Baby Love, the B-side Ain't Nobody's Business and the A-side Wish I Could Be Me is only included in it's longer, 12" version, not the 7" version. 2. The CD was promoted as being a 2CD with 24-bit digital remastering, but it's not until you've paid and received it that the booklet reveals vinyl transfers have been used and surface noise may be heard. Not sure why it was changed to a 1CD either, but it's your only option if you want some Honey Bane on CD for the time being. The booklet is also full of mistakes (baked, not backed... gab, not gap... etc.).

Also, the album did intend on being a 2 disc set. We never imagined that 23 tracks would fit (at the time Baby Love and Business were in the running). But as it turns out, they all fit just perfectly, which I think is far more convenient, especially for playing in the car etc. The price of the CD was always going to be £15, regardless of the amount of discs. This may seem a bit pricey by today's standards, but being an independent, self funded release, on a small scale, there was little choice, if I wanted Honey to make any decent amount of royalties. She has never really been paid for her work, and I felt this was her payback at long last :)

Hi anfunny. Thanks for taking time to send some feedback on this CD. Generally, everyone seems really made up with it, and I hope you feel the same. As you and many others have said - it's great to finally get Honey on CD at long last. However, it would have been fantastic to have master transfers of all of the recordings, and we were going to have this up until the last minute when it was discovered that masters for many of the recordings, had been lost, during a storage transfer to a new building in 2005 (I think that was the year). 'Baby Love' and 'Ain't Nobodies Business', were omitted due to the fact that Honey didn't have writing credit on them, and didn't want to spend extra funds on paying royalties. I do sincerely apologise for the the spelling errors in the booklet. I did expect it to be fully checked when I received it, but proof reading was never my strong point and I admit that. I just live in the fast lane, always have. I have also moved house, tiwce, in the last 4 weeks, and fell behind on a lot of work, and had to really push it, to get this CD finished, so I'm not overly surprised to see an error or two. It does always feel disappointing when it happens, but as you will know, it still does and will happen too much, ha!There are many more plans for Honey releases, but obviously they are limited due to the fact she didn't get the chance to record further, back then. But, as soon as (/if) the masters are found, this album will be reissued with the new transfers and sold to buyers of the first edition, at a big discount. I really hope you enjoy the album and play it for years to come. All the best :)
