Another fine example of an obscure underground commercial track worth money because it is hard to find, not because it is a good record. Rarity does not equal musical quality. There is much better material from this genre that has stood the test of time. If you want to spend big $$$ on a piece like this, then go right ahead. This record is nowhere near major league material from the proving grounds of major markets like New York City and Philadelphia with top clubs, and vibrant, cutting-edge street and radio scenes.

The New York City music scene covers a wide range of sounds and genres (plural, not singular), including a lot of music from the Caribbean. Remember, NY City was also home to two of the major Jamaican and Caribbean music importers, located in Jamaica, NY (Queens) and Bedford-Stuyvesant / Crown Heights (Brooklyn), so your "stick to your genre" statement is factually incorrect / way-off. Many small-to-medium size clubs throughout the City played a wide variety of sounds, including the top clubs, whose DJs had the ear for down-tempo international club sounds. Bottom-line, Sugar Daddy does not make the grade to command these high prices. If you want to spend hundreds $$$ on a piece like this, then go right ahead!

Without any doubts you have no ideia or understanding about what you are saying. Stick to your genre pal and dont comment on what you obviously have no clue about. This record isn't as rare as what you think it is. Sugar Daddy is a beautiful tune. The arrangements are mindblowing and the demand is very high hence the price.
