Chunky for me is as much swamp 81 as the general himself.

This EP is a BEAST. It satisfies all elements that I would expect from a premium dance music producer on the dance floor, bedroom, car, wherever. "Decca" has this feel to me like it's a dance tune being played by a UFO broadcast down onto my dome, really futuristic in its delivery and gives my stereo system a workout. "Experiment 727" reminds me of those Luke Vibert moments where it starts with one feel (the tune has a "pickup" beat) but then when the bass drops, devastates any room equipped with a proper sub as it falls into a groove. "THANG" should be the draw for anybody with a keen ear for dance music. This is one strong body tune that will shake hips that haven't moved in years. A catchy tune being sung by a female vocal begs for you to "put that thang" on her. "Rugged" is just as the title describes, one tough and rugged dance tune that just makes me move. Though not all songs will instantly find a place in your mind as they don't all carry the similar catchiness of "THANG," with a proper system, this SHOULD force most to move their body. In the hands of the right DJ with a good ear for blending and mixing, this should turn many dance music fans' heads. You could actually blend all 4 tunes here for an otherworldly moment in your mix. With this being Chunky's FIRST release, I can only imagine where he goes from here. A superb first impression he's making as a producer/songwriter with this. Those displeased with this release probably expect a more straightforward 4/4 kick drum to their dance music, this release instead plays and experiments with rhythms as people should expect from their premium dance music. This should come with a sticker affixed to it that reads "Tuff-Choon quadruple PACK!!!"

IMO this is possibly the weakest Swamp release to date ,the tunes on a whole are pretty average and lack originality , I bought this without listening because it was Swamp , in future i'll be sure to listen before buying

sometimes what you call generic is refined taste to general appeal to the mass audience in my opinion, as a dj.. sometimes you dont want to play a track that someone knows or can recognize but still kills, and this is it.
