Let me just say, this is a fantastic soundtrack to accommodate a fantastic film.Although Nicolas Cage tried his hardest to destroy everything Wicker Man, this soundtrack survived his wrath, mostly because you'll forget about dreadful 2006 version, and start to think of everything wonderful while this record plays in the background.Corn Rigs, my personal favourite, couldn't be a better start to the A side. The lyrics really do take you back to the imagery that surrounds this mysterious story. The flutes are a treat too.You know, I was originally planning to review every single track, but now looking back at how many there are, I could be here a while. So, I'll just list the ones that really stand out: Corn Rigs, Gently Johnny (people really love that one), The Tinker of Rye, Willow's Song, etc. Hell, they're all good.As a conclusion, yes, this review is terrible, but trust me, the feeling of owning this record is sublime. This soundtrack to the original "Wicker Man" film is amazing. All of the songs work perfectly together with the film.The original film itself, must be one of the best films ever made.
