Sound on the reissue is trash compared to the original. If you care about fidelity I would consider a different route. If you need a piece of plastic with a crunchy mp3 carved into it, this it for you.

I really wanted the record so I took a leap of faith, despite being warned by others. And I too can confirm the long version sounds a lot better than the short version. I can live with it but I can’t help but think how good the original must sound compared to this reissue.

Oh ya, I've got the same issue. The Loose Joints 7'' doesn't have this. Wonder if it was a bad pressing? IMO this Kenton Nix is the best West End release in their catalog.

Finally received my copy and compared to the original the sound isn't as good, mainly in the vocals and treble, but that's not to say it sounds bad. I think overall it still sounds great and to save $100+ compared to the original the sound difference is nothing!

Don't let the comments turn you off buying this gem! If you need the song on wax (which you should) then this is still worth it. Heard it dropped at a party on some solid speakers and it went off.
