Ha, well, the dour "original SPK" crowd has tanked the ratings for this release. So much the better, I guess, for those who want a slept-on industrial dance classic for a dollar. On this 12" you get two Junk Funk edits, which have their moments, and the original 7" version of "Metal Dance" (High Tension is not much to write home about). "Metal Dance" is a bit of a masterpiece...sort of like what Skinny Puppy on a good day might sound like, with a little less linear drum programming and mixing, more raw drum sounds, and a minxy female vocal poured atop. When you listen to "Metal Dance", any doubt that we are moving BACKWARDS when it comes to musical creativity and craftsmanship will evaporate. 1983 in the house, people.
