For being an album made in 1996 with very basic equipment, mostly analog keyboard and sound source this remains as a totally unique thing, even if there´s lapses in which the synths may sound quite basic and elemental, the concept remains congruent and the aural effect results quite effective. Beherit took what Burzum was trying to get into back in the day with his fully experimental synth escapades but went farest and with deepest length and profoundity, its also evident the exposition that the author may have had into early Cold Meat Industry sound as the record wanders into the ritualistic temper and Dark Ambient genesis that only a handful of bands were experiencing with since 1989- To this day this album remains quite remarkable in it´s own terms, quite unique and differentiated. That being said, ive never been fond of calling outdated anything for the sake of listening a synth, a guitar effect or some aural technology that is not used today or doesn´t fit with the current trends of the hipster fashion for music.Holocausto fully dismissed the Black Metal mould in here and entered the abominable territory (For the Kvlt elite) of ambient music. No repetitive blast beat, no growling, no satanic bullshit, no guitar lines, alas no kitsch cover, in a word: Blasphemy. But as the album remains far away from such elements and general concept it achieves its durable destiny, that´s why even today it´s effective to catapult the listener into an experience of aural ritualism and dark sonority, sometimes even puzzling atmospheres that few bands today achieve. It is very curious to notice this album was the epilogue of Beherit as it is totally different from whatever he was doing before, totally ucompromised and daring, as if the author was for the first time doing rightly what he should. Beherit becomes some sort of particular exception into the BM niche, some kind of visionary that prefigured what will happen with modern BM 10 to 15 years after, the advent of a time in which all the music that was supposed to sound dark and grim will kneel upon.

OK Who is Beherit? One of the most Xtreme Black Metal Band from Finland (yes! back from 1987) with their leader called Holocausto. As many musicians he tried to make a crossover to integrate synthesizer in extreme Death/Black Metal. Electric Doom Synthesis is the last album by the Band and this one is a Fully Dark Ambient album. A bit archaic in the process (we cannot have all Moog and thousands $ in equipments) but there's a mood in it which can bring you in Very Deep Feelings. Holocausto released an album at the end of 1999 as Suuri Shamaani. Something happening Up North you know?
