When I first heard the 'Unorganized Mix' of this track on an old Ron Hardy @ The Music Box mix, I realised how little I knew about the enormous amount of great records made in the 1980s. This is a forgotten gem that deserves to be up there with other records of its ilk such as Kurtis Blow's "The Breaks" and Rockers Revenge's "Sunshine Partytime". What sets this track apart from the last two though, is its more house-like structure. The beats and bassline are dark and heavy and are complented perfectly by deep-voiced rapping over the top, telling a story about a guy confronting and beating up a bunch of thugs who try to rob him - very cool! Later rereleased on the Profile label, this a dark, pumpin' party track that should not be overlooked.
