Right I've had a chat with a number of regalities, Panny Reel and others on Facebook etc. It's not General Roy, I've just now listened to a General Roy tune with Marcia Griffiths that shows this is him, but his style being more distinctly NOT U-Roy, so I'm going remove U-Roy from the running here...

Such a good tune, but I'm not convinced it is U-Roy, it could almost be U-Brown, or a number of imitators. What information is there that it is really U-Roy, apart from a possibility that he went under that name. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it to be U-Roy, I've got the single and it would only increase it's value, but remain to be convinced. It's too original, to fresh for U-Roy in 1979, he didn't have to try this hard, or record such a tuff tune by this point.
