Just acquired this release. Terminus has not aged well. Meditatiion is outstanding and was perhaps overlooked back in the day. Much subtler and builds nicely. md comments detail this well in the below review

I loved Terminus at the time, wonderfully new sounding and edgy techno - but still accessible. Thumping bass with excellent filtering on the stabby synths. Showed there was more than just UK cheesy house and US techno out there. Good voice samples too: "I don't believe in death" "I will never die" etc. Pains me to admit, but it sounds horribly dated now though, plodding and unimaginative. The mellow B-side saves this once classic from rotting in my loft.

"Meditation" is the gem tucked away on this old Infonet EP. While both versions of "Terminus" are fairly standard (for the time) in-your-face techno with gated and filtered synths, "Meditation" is a much subtler, deeper, and better thought out composition. It's built on an awkwardly arranged bassline that can be off-putting at first, but gels with the rest of the track as it progresses and builds. Soft bells and rising strings combine with very well placed and conservatively used ethereal vocal samples (almost reminiscent of Gregorian chant, but their use is not in any way cheesy and they are not prominent). All these elements are brought together with a fluttering flute-like synth for a brief climax (or as much of a climax as a track as softly tempered as this will allow) before the track enters its final phase, and gradually deconstructs, leaving the listener at peace. Great deep techno that works perfectly in the home environment.
