Ignore the ignorant comment below. I must be blind because I don't see anything on my CD that says you're supposed to feel relaxed while listening to this release. Ultimae has released all kinds of variants on ambient over the years, and some of them - like this release - are predominantly 4 on the floor (though there is plenty of laid back chillin' going on here too.) Personally I really enjoy mixing this kind of stuff because it's easy to build into more intense sounds and styles. I love mixes that start off atmospheric and deep and gradually build intensity, and Ultimae releases some of the best build music out there. This CD will definitely be going into my "mixable Ultimae" playlist for future DJ sets.

This release is supposed to make you feel relaxed, but it only ends up making me annoyed. A lot of the stuff featured here is goa/psy trance played at slower speed, I don't think that qualifies as downtempo or ambient. To make downtempo music one has to pay more attention to drum and bass programming. I guess most of the artists here have awesome setups, so to be able to make a bassline that actually shifts key once in a while and a drum pattern that doesn't just go bom-bom-bom-bom (four to the floor) throughout a track should be a possibility.
