Great album, this definitely needs a reissue. If One Little Indian can reissue Becoming X and Splinter (twice now!), Tommy Boy or whoever owns the rights these days can reissue this one.

I actually updated the bio the other day; Tommy Boy's offices were destroyed in 9/11 back in 2001 and a lot of money was lost, so the band had to self-release Bloodsport on their own label Splinter Industries - the reason this isn't on any of the CD's or LP is because the covers, print and logos were all done before the tragedy, so I'm guessing the individual band members themselves are the only people who can make this happen, but I doubt that would ever happen.

With Becoming X and Splinter, Clean-up Records went back into the masters and remastered it for vinyl, whereas this release has the same mastering as the CD, making it sound very loud thus giving distortion in some places. But either way, it's still a gorgeous release and if you can get your hands on a copy, go for it! I managed to snag one at £20 from a buyer on eBay a few years back who had more than one copy.

awesome album, vinyl sounds great. I wouldn't let this one go.

This was the first record I ever bought that had artificial vinyl surface noise added, which I guess they'd put on the CD too.Which put me off for a while. But it's an outrageously good album.and should have been more successful than it was.
