"A collaboration with Gabriel Saloman (Miasma// Shelter Press), artwork by Aja Rose Bond!
A peek at the finished artwork for "A Prayer for Ice", a cassette collaboration with Gabriel Saloman + Common Eider King Eider. The printed fabric that wraps the tape is an abstracted map of both the north and south poles and the tape's slipcase is a vellum lantern showing icebergs and a double sun on the horizon, a sight only seen in those places. It comes with a candle that has the rune Isa on it, the runic form of ice. Making an altar intended to hold space for contemplation of this incredible, changing landscape has been emotional and challenging... the music is incredibly powerful, though, and helped immensely in connecting me to the intention of the work […]"
