We have to asume that Flip Over is a Disco song influenced by the sound of that time (clearly inspired by M's Pop Muzik). By then, Italo-Disco did not even exist yet.It's just a funny and cheesy song without pretensions, and as such should be taken, beyond the transcendence of the artist who interprets it. Within those parameters, I like it.

First record of Tom Hooker and unfortunately pretty embarrassing to hear "Flip Over", what was a funky disco-trash groove has been ruined with a ridiculous nursery rhyme rap laid over the top. My taste for bad italo rap is pretty expansive but this is on another level. Maybe someone can edit something out of that because the production itself is nice.From memory there is also a hilarious roller-skating video performance of Tom on Italian TV at the time (unfortunately gone from youtube).B-side is better, but nothing remotely italo, it's a Bee Gees flavoured ballad.Anyway this record is interesting mainly as the starting point for his long career, he was discovered by Gianni Naso (Italian pioneer disc-jockey) thanks to this record, from there went to work with the Turatti-Chieregato team and the rest is history..

I'm afraid there aren't enough instrumental blocks to make this into an edit. The nursery rhymes of Mr Rappin' T.H. Beecher are here to stay.
