Common guys this "Reggaeton" debate is not really serious, if it wasn't written above in the style, i'm sure no one would have spoken about Reggaeton. Plus, these kind of broken beat patterns, without cheese on the top, existed way before the appellation "Reggaeton"...

Just realized that you "gack" have created this release page. I understand now why this Reggaeton thing is so serious for you.Apologies for the inconvenience, i didn't mean to hurt anyone.

isma. Common guys this "Reggaeton" debate is not really serious, if it wasn't written above in the style, i'm sure no one would have spoken about Reggaeton. Plus, these kind of broken beat patterns, without cheese on the top, existed way before the appellation "Reggaeton"... Just because this appellation doesn’t cater to your pseudo-essentialist understanding of broken beats doesn’t mean is “not serious” or less valid. Even if the media half-jokingly calls it “deep reggaeton”, there is a huge world out there (a whole continent for example) where this is actually recognised as reggaeton. And yet, you are so sure that all of us are “no one”… what a level of arrogance. Well, im not going to debate wether the term is valid or not for this release, but we can debate what other terms are also valid for this release. And im going to give you and others an advice in good faith: STOP COLONISING EVERYTHING, that includes, STOP COLONISING OTHER UNDERSTANDINGS OF MUSIC ;)

Not really feeling this one. Don't get me wrong, the production is extremely tight and the pads are dope but the Reggaeton beats ruin it for me.I'll stick to the other works by mr. Piñeyro for the time being, maybe this one will grow on me in the future (check out his Deejay Xanax release, lovely stuff!)

if the reggaeton beats are what honestly ruin it for you, you might be the kinda person to come back in 6 months and be like "oh wow this has completely grown on me" ...the reggaeton beats are awesome btw...yo ran (Do) def could be a top single of the year...very refreshing sound when 4x4 usually wins the day. and if you like the xanax release, check the dj osom ep, on some lo-fi uk funky nastiness

I was about to comment something like "Man how can you? 3 stars only to this album? Come on!" then went on to check the Xanax EP you tipped, and got hooked on the three youtube vids. Easily as good, if not better than this great album, in a different style and totally original. Thanks for the heads up!

Cannot disagree with the earlier comments, an eargasm from start to finish! My only gripe is this is music for sunshine and refreshments, and it was released just as they've vanished... :-((

This kind of music is good for the winter, when there's no other way to get the sunshine and heat in. :)

I was listening to the youtube vids while doing something else, then "Cuál" came in and I thought: "wow". Then the first minutes of "Todo Era Azul (Versión Afuera)" convinced me for good. Reggaeton is not my style usually, but this is lush.
