This is my favorite Drexciya album, it's melodic, hypnotizing, dark and relaxing, my favorite tracks here are 1, 3 and 6.

Made-with-Love
The story incorporated with the Drexciyan series has to be some of the coolest stuff I have ever seen incorporated into an electronic record. And the fact that there is an actual star they named 'Grava 4.' This is really taking the listener to another place. Advanced stuff right here...

Another repress of the 2xLP will be out in march, on the Clone Aqualung series. As for "Black Sea" and "Hyperspace Sound Lab", there will be a lot of copies everywhere (internet and physical shops). Just relax.

Is it possible that James Stinson didn't get involve in the making of this album? On the french Wikipedia is mentioned that he might not be part of it, that Grava 4 is not part of the "Seven Storms", but I'm curious as it sounds like him to me…

Drexciya already on the other side, one of the brightest vision of Detroit techno. Hallucinatory fever. Real deep shit for the electrosoul heads! Drop the needle down and let Drexciya free your mind...forever!

This is a Magnificent release ! I've always loved electro, and always will. The tracks are sophisticated, sometimes weird, but so relaxing, never aggresive, with some reminescence from the other people place.I can easily imagine myself traveling space with the star chart, looking for the secret planet while listening the album.R.e.s.t principle is the track to mix ... but i don't mix any track from the album .... only pure listening pleasure for my brain !

This music sounds like a picture would look from an good painter who painted the history of underwaterlife with all the mythology. You have to say it like that. It´s not just music in a sounding way, it´s music like an movie or a picture. It sounds very grey in color and very dark. Soundquality is really above the standard, you know, but it´s more a special state of sound, quality and the between of this all. This music make you see things and it gives you something back that has got to do with a deep, really deep mind und deep, really deep thoughts.

The last album released by Drexciya. I think it is the best one (together with Netune's Lair maybe). This album has a complete sound of it's own (just as all the other Drexciya albums). It is clear that the sound of Grava 4 is very different than earlier productions by Drexciya. The tracks are filled with different dimensions and vibes that are up for grabs to hear, when you listen to it over and over you may discover them. The last track, Astronomical Guideposts beats them all I must say, it is just unbelievable. This is very serious electronic music, nothing to laugh about. I think many people would't like it very much the first time they hear it. But I must say; it is worth every minute you listen to it, just listen to it over and over! It is just so intense, great stuff!

My take is that it's a hit and miss album, but the last track, 'Astronomical Guidepost', is just the moodiest, meanest Drexciya track around. A lot of Drexciya's work seems to be live jams, and for this track they were really on form.

Although a lot of people seem disappointed by Drexciya after 1998, I think "Grava 4" is an amazing album, and an improvement over the direction they showed with "Harnessed the Storm." It's unfair to compare this album with earlier efforts like "The Unknown Aquazone" or "Aquatic Invasion," since those releases showcased a hard-hitting electro-funk sound. "Grava 4" is much more on the minimal techno side of things. If this is not what one expects (or wants) to hear from Drexciya, that's all right, but I suspect many listeners would appreciate this album a lot more if they weren't expecting a particular sound or style. "Grava 4" succeeds brilliantly on its own terms, in my opinion.

New Full length album by Drexciya... Drexciya has reached new levels with this new album (Drexciya previously only release on Underground resistance, Warp, and Tresor records).. Their aquatic habitat has been replaced by a new territory in space...the planet Drexciya. Money buys everything...and Drexciya bought their own star in the cosmos (they really did!!). This album tells the story of underwater species in space... The Drexcyen warriors escape the gravity waves and travel 700 million light years reach their new colony in the cosmos named...Drexciya (registered with the international star registry under the coordinates ra18h35m37.73 d3'22'31.12" ) The hi-tech nomads life according the Drexcyen R.E.S.T. principle (research, experimentation, science and technology) and try to reach new standards. This album prooves that the evolution of their species hasn't been stopped yet and gets new impulses from their new possession. Drexciya goes deeper then ever before...
