Munigrinn
This is the latest release of the german jazz musician Moritz Sembritzki. He develops his unique and fresh mixture of warm soundscapes, catching grooves and noisy parts to a new level.I think he is doing kind of pioneer work because the music emancipates itself from its jazz roots and the roots Sembritzki has as a guitar player and so may gain a young audience that is usually not so much interested in classical or modern jazz. Let alone getting such a lineup together without being a rich musician deserves credit these days. And after all: It is so much fun to listen to this record. You can feel his love for music and his good sense for sounds and dramaturgy.
