The master Villalobos has again strike with this collaboration. Sini Est is just a perfect hypnotic minimal techno track that I just cannot get bored of. I bought the record for Stephan Laubner's track as it bring so much energy into a Dj set but the mystical and dark Shamanic Ric Y Martin's track hypnotized me all over after.

"Portside Waves" is without a doubt one of the most stimulating and rockin' tracks Perlon has ever put out, so it's safe to say to every Perlon lover and minimal techno fan that this track is one for the ages to come, it will never stop getting people off :) 10/10, if there was such a rating, so: 5/5

This Reissue pressing is much more quite on the noise level, but Side (A): "Portside Waves" has a pressing defect on the right channel only that contains a lot of repeating tic's at the beginning and lasts for about 2 minutes, other perlon reissues and some original pressing's for perlon have this same problem on the right channel only, something to do with the cutting tool and angle cut at, but otherwise, the reissue of this release is much better sound quality in general, perlon needs to be notified about this problem that occurs on some of their catalog and new releases.

sorry, i'm confused, so which release should I be buying?! Is it annoying enough to stop you playing the laubner track out? Or is it worth it because the sound quality is better on the reissue?

Although I bought this release for Ric Y Martin when it came out, I found myself playing Stephan Laubner's track in 95% of my sets. This track, yet simple, has an incredible feeling in a club and it is not a surprise to see many DJs also playing it to spice up their set. One detail that I love about Laubner's track is the port sounds played in a loop, through a lofi effect. Very well done, certainly a classic of the genre.
