Weernis
Bastard was, with Sister Iodine, the best french experimental band in the nineties. They were friends of Jack Natz (Cop Shoot Cop) and their debut was produced by Martin Bisi in New York City. Their sound should be considerate as "Industrial Rock", with ambient and contemporary influences, and a creative use of a sampler. Atmospheres similar to Cop Shoot Cop, but with less irony (typical when you meet and European band) and more desperation. Some (bad) critics spoke about post-rock, but there's no trace of this, maybe non-existent, genre (too much bands with this old definition and all with very different roots).
