ps no matter what die hards say i felt the first post moon tour from the summer of 1979 to the spring of 1980 w/kenny jones on drums was almost as good as a moonie tour, sadly 1982 was even a bit hard to take.................

this is an amazing soundboard recording from the whos summer 2000 us tour and this gig was recorded in denver co, the sound is perfect and it has been my opinion as a who fan for almost 40 years now that THIS WAS THE BEST POST 1982 WHO TOUR THAT EVER TOOK PLACE!!! it was much better then the 1989 25th ann tour and the 1996/97 quadrophenia tour, this was the who back to a standard meat and potatos set list with quite a bit of energy on stage but NO NOTHING LIKE 1965 TO 1980.................very good set list and a nice johnny cash medley and it blew my mind when i saw this show in nyc in october 2000 when they did i dont even know myself live as i have loved that song since the late 70s and never dreamed i would see the who do it live. anyway this is a beautiful 2 cd factory silver pressed set on the polar bear label out of japan, also in my opinion sadly this was the LAST REAL WHO TOUR THAT EVER TOOK PLACE as on june 27th 2002 john the ox passed and seeing the who live since then has not been the same, i have felt they should have laid the who name to rest and kept going out as DALTREY/TONSHEND but hey im just an old fan, anyway this is a fantastic show and a real tribute to john entwistle as it was his LAST WHO TOUR EVER......
