In the distinguished presence of maestro Pankaj Mullick, a young handsome boy from Lucknow stands before the microphone to launch a memorable career. When the recording was over, Pankaj Mullick blessed the boy saying "The words of the song 'Ban Jaoonga Main Kya Se Kya' are prophetic, you shall be famous with this velvety voice of yours".

And with that introduction, Talat Mahmood sailed triumphantly through a long and succesful music career. This compilation of melodies brings to Talat's fans all over the world musical compositions by Anil Biswas, Khaiyyaam, V. Balsara, Vinod Chatterji, Yogendra and Madan Prakash; lyrics by Pt.
