A side's 'Midnight Express' has a very scarce use (unfortunately in DnB anyhow) of phat aCiD 303 line, nice distorted breaks, solid (almost Hardcore/Techno bassdrum snares), a lot of phasing, grindy production in this Dieselboy track...along with a crackin breakdown that rolls down from upfront pace DnB to avin it Electro (w/a DnB edge) for a minute or two, before rollin back up to the DnB pace with an almost Dubstep-style sweep/phase FX section and you almost don't notice it done - very effective production & not easy to effect a speed change so unconsciously on the listener.B Side's 'Step Up' begins with an unusual keybrd intro that sounds like its halfspeed/on 33 instead of 45, then after some brief stab FX, just smashes into a nice solid 'avin it grindy techstep belter laced with old HipHop vox, while the layered breaks nicely cut & chop in & out with nearly every pattern being unique, so as complex as it wouldve been to produce...hell it's effective-as on a crowd..pne of those rather unknown B sides that rocks the place...excellent EP!!
