I bought this album nine years ago and it has always surprised me that I could not find any information about it, only a brief mention of a Spanish album on All Music Guide. The record has simple artwork and contains very little information, just that the songs are written by Paul Collins and that it was recorded in New York. The label, Julio’s Records from Barcelona, is completely unknown and the information found on the web indicates that it no longer exists.Paul Collins provided me with more information via email. Namely, that the album was recorded in Barcelona, not in New York, between 1998 and 1999. The line up was Paul Collins (Guitar and Vocals), Rick Wagner (bass), Parthenon Huxley (guitar), Will Rigby (drums) and Javier Vargas (additional guitar). That is more or less The Paul Collins Band with some reinforcement. The label was related to Paul's music editor, Clipper’s Music Publishing (in Spanish, Ediciones Musicales Clipper's). There were disagreements between the parties and the record was released without the authorization of Paul, which explains the very austere presentation and the lack of information that it contains.Paul says that this is not his best album but it contains some good songs. I think so too.
