The second CD-mix of this release is the best mix of the season releases by Sven Väth's since a long time and shows his best qualities in my opinion. Almost all tracks are well chosen and have a dark, scary, mighty or fat attitude. The whole mix build-up is excellent, transmissions are very well and the mix on the whole raises subtle but continously. Sven Väth lets enough time and space for each single track so that they can unfold their full strength. Most of the former "season" releases of the last years are kinda arbitrary I think and I couldn't find a "roter faden" as we say in german - unfortunately like the first CD mix of this release is. Besides there was too much minimal shit on them and this is another reason, why this particular mix is gorgeous. It is not my attention to judge Sven Väth too hard about this fact, cause I know a DJ only can choose from the existing music offer there is. But, I really hope this motherfucking boring "age of minimalism" comes to an end. There's is just too much flabby and too less powerful dance tracks around. Hopefully this mix is a signal of another powerful time for electronic dance music. So, back to it: Although this mix is also kept in midtempo as most minimal stuff, it is far away from being weak. Track highlights for me are: Tim Green, Heartthrob, Deetron, Bastinov, Floorplan, The Knife, Geeeman, Gary Beck, Pig & Dan, Alex Bau, Petar Dundov ... as you might mention, it is full of highlights.

The first CD ends abruptly on Ricardo Tobar "Brittle". Not sure if it was done purposely or if my CD has an issue.
