I picked-up this little gem in a job-lot of assorted CDs I bought. Being both a reggae and country music fan I was intrigued by the concept of 'reggaefying' country standards. Much to my surprise and delight, on the whole, it works really well. It's not a new idea, of course: 'Help Me Make it Through the Night' being one of the biggest reggae country hits. However, the selection of covers is mixed, ranging from 'obvious' titles such as 'I Will Always Love You' and 'Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blues' to the more unusual, such as 'No Charge' and Patsy Cline's 'Crazy' to 'Stand By Your Man'. Not that these version are direct covers with a reggae back-beat, far from it. Mostly they are perfectly individual interpretations, which gives them a new a fresh appeal, especially if you are a die-hard reggae fan. I suspect country purists will detest this album, though. I could be wrong, of course. I loved it and will be adding it to my personal collection. I recommend that you do the same :-)
