Beware, this may be a bootleg release. Seems to consist of LP copies that have been de-clicked and processed with some sort of broadcast-style audio processor. The original L.P. releases actually sound more dynamic than this rather odd and rare release. As far as I know, there are no legitimate Compact Disc releases of the Szabo "SKYE" library, which includes "Bacchannal" and "1969."

No surprise for El/Cherry Red. They have a history of producing poorly mastered reissues of all genres, sourced from any old junk they can lay their hands on. Both of these albums were issued (legally?) by DCC in the 1990s, but sound compressed in comparison with the original vinyl.
