Has been in my Halloween rotation since it's release. That's what this track evokes. Almost like he's doing his best Freddie Krueger.

A seminal acid house track. As dark and sinister as you like. Massive back in the day and still brings back all those memories. Wicked beats groove and 303. Strobe, smoke machine and plenty of jacking........

Had this but had to sell it as the baby crying noises really annoyed me (the sound of a baby crying is generally pretty annoying). Also the breaking glass is a bit cheesy. But then this was 1988 . Great use of 303 though. Maybe someone will do a re-edit without the baby/glass noises? File under "you had to be there".If you want true acid classics I suggest you look to Armando and Phuture for starters.....

"Where's Your Child" is a classic acid track with some verry nice and scary vocals in it. The original version is very strong, minimalizing the Track on its instrumental basics + a nice acid base line and adding a really "deep" flair. Recommended if you like the Acid ;-)

Although it's hard to get across if you just see a scanned version on a computer screen, the sleeve and label produce an optical illusion if held up close to your face. Which is kinda funny for me because I discovered it on a weekend trip down to London with 2 mates, aided with some magic mushies I'd grown to weather the initial period of the ban on them that had just come into effect. It was under such circumstances, upon my first listen, that the lyrics for this track elicited a wry smile. Only earlier that day I'd told my mom's friend - who'd been putting us all up for the night - that the fungi we dried out in the sun, in her backyard, definitely weren't the same sort that had been featured in recent news programmes...Where's your's child?Do you know?Look around...Nowhere to be foundWah-ha-ha-ha-haaa!Parents don't let your kidLeave out late at nightDon't you know they don't knowWrong from rightWhere's your's child?Curfew! Curfew!No-one likes to be left aloneEspecially when they don't knowRight from wrongYou're all my children now! It's a cruel... cold... world.

A definitive Acid track with a kicking bass and an hypnotic 808? riff the spooky "where's your child, breaking glass etc....", I used to listen to this track (amongst others) before going to a party and laugh out loud at the irony of the lyrics as I lived at home with my parents and they didn't have a clue about what I did at weekends until I decided to come clean and confess many years later in a moment of guilt ( They were really ok about it ALL ), but no regrets though! this track always brings me back to where I used to be, although it's not my favourite ;) 9/10 8 )

The "Suck mix" is the spiciest version of Where's your child. The vocals and laughter are ominious and there's the sound of breaking glass or what is it in an unexpected break. It's a circus, but a brilliant one!

Essential Acid House track, great use of the Roland TB-303 bass-synthesyzer. Freaky vocals, somebody called the breaking of glass sound anoying, it doesn't bother me at all.
