Only just discovered & got hold of this gem in 2017 when it was mentioned on below thread 'Re-discovering...' tech music from the past: " rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.discogs.com/group/thread/498854?page=1#4907965> Page 3A well produced debut from a talented artist, who at this time of writing, still remains unknown in EU/USA, but has already delivered two highly rewarding dub-tech albums including this one, and also 'Versions' under his Mieli pseudo. A artist that can stands side by side with other quality dub-tech artist such as Geoff White, Veer, Marrow, Kit Clayton, Pole, early Luomo. and Farben in delivering immersive dub-minimal-micro tech music. 'Cinecity' delivers a sound that bring imaginary collaboration to mind bringing together Geoff White's micro-dub as from his excellent 'Questions & Comments' album, together with Luomo's excellent stripped dubby deephouse/techno as from his also excellent 'Vocalcity' album, and the added tech minimalism of Farben/Kit Clayton. A very rewarding home / headphone listen that unravels with elegant, deep, laid-back, warming, head-nodding and sublime mellowing sounds and in its minimal stripped down style. The music is minimal in its essence; yet absorbing and lush bringing a rich depth feel that's thoughtful, deep, & immersive delivering music that will sink into your headspace as the catchy well used hooks and melodic patterns of minimal techno-house surface from the lowtech deep spaced-out dub rhythms and ambient which simply captivate from beginning to the end of each and every track. Though originally released in 2004. 'Cinecity' still captivates. A album that remains a very impressive listen even today, and beyond. Music that manages to bring out the best in minimal electronic music, esp within dub(by)-techno/house, and that will pleasently please for all those into deep listening music.A excellent 8.5/10
