Recently discovered that this US release contains a different mix of Teardrops, which sounds unlike the original mix or 12" Extended Remix even. This "Vocal Version" is a bit more toned down compared to the original and is (sadly) not as danceable.

I’ll have to double-check the catalog number on my copy to see if we’re talking about the same version, but on my copy the mix is *really* weird, the vocals especially. In the chorus, the backup vocals are way out in front and sound kinda flat, tone-wise — it almost sounds like you’re listening to someone doing a karaoke version of the song.
