So what is the deal with this record? Did it really come out before Carl Douglas's #1 Kung Fu Fighting? Because the baseline and the "hoo-ha"s are just a little too similar to each other for me to believe these two records were made completely independent of each other, with no knowledge of the other. If this was first, did no one ever try to sue Carl Douglas, who is listed as the sole songwriter at ASCAP of Kung Fu Fighting?
